Considered as the most comprehensive solid waste management law in the Philippines, Republic Act 9003 appears to be a significant step forward in resolving the nation’s solid waste management issues. The Republic Act 9003 takes a full-scale approach in addressing the waste issue and in recognizing the significance of collaboration from all relevant sectors in order to ensure that the policy is effectively carried out.
